There are two really very enlightening posts I am recommending to you. Both are related. But a background first. Sant AshaRam to Sri Sri Ravishankar and now old Sant Sai, Gurus and Sants are two a penny these days. market is flooded, competition is hot and cut throat. Marketing gurus are giving consultancy to Gurus and earning huge money. Nothing new, you know it all.
New thing is that now like Sri sri Ravishankar's Arts of living and other Products are claiming that these are intellectual Property (sic) of these sants. Shirdi is one of the richest trust of the country and now it will charge royalty from every sai temple from country for using sai word as it is their trademark and they believe that they deserve a royalty for it. Suresh Chiplunkar Also analyses it thread bare. He makes a case that these enterprising Gurus are as evil as Bill Gates, and gods should be an open source code :)
इस प्रकार तो “बिल गेट्स” को विश्व के सबसे बड़े आध्यात्मिक गुरु का दर्जा दिया जाना चाहिये। बल्कि गेट्स तो “गुरुओं के गुरु” हैं, “गुरु घंटाल” हैं, बिल गेट्स नाम के गुरु ने भी तो कॉपीराइट और पेटेण्ट के जरिये अरबों-खरबों की सम्पत्ति जमा की है और अब एक फ़ाउण्डेशन बना कर वे भी समाजसेवा कर रहे हैं।
