In this recent rebuke by Supreme Court to UPA Government on AIIMS Director case, whole nation feel embrassed. It should be. Look at it, this way- We (the people of India) expressed our will through parliament. But we dumb citizen let some individual name Romdass drove his personal agenda through cabinet and a proper bill is introduced in Parliament. What a nation we are...individual likes and dislikes uses our highest institutions and we let them. Now we find Supreme Court another highest institution comes into the picture. It is trying to set things right at least in this case. Though we know the way Supreme court is playing on RTI issue, it is clear that its own house is in equally bad shape. I think AIIMS case is another Shahbano for indian polity.

आज यानी गुरुवार ८ मई २००८ को भारत की केन्द्र सरकार की खिल्ली उड़ी....और यह भी सिर्फ उस सरकार के एक नाकारा मंत्री के कारण......ये मंत्री हैं देश के केन्द्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री अंबुमणि रामदास......इन्होंने व्यक्तिगत झकमारी की वजह से अखिल भारतीय आर्युविज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) के निदेशक पी वेणुगोपाल को चलता कर दिया था......वेणुगोपाल काफी भले व्यक्ति हैं और मेडिकल छात्रों में काफी लोकप्रिय भी हैं लेकिन बस वो इस मंत्री की अंगुलियों पर नहीं नाच रहे थे......तो साहब इस रामदास ने उन वेणुगोपाल को एम्स से हटाने के लिए दबाव बनाया था......जब वे अडिग रहे तो एम्स के संविधान में संशोधन करवाकर उन्होंने वेणुगोपाल को हटा दिया......आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने रामदास यानी केन्द्र सरकार के उस निर्णय को अमान्य कर दिया और रामदास की व्यक्तिगत झल्ल के कारण केन्द्र की भी भद्द पिटी.....
