According to reports, the joint team of Orissa and Goa police had succeeded in tracing the whereabouts of the fugitive gangster using the electronic surveillance system and had laid a trap to nab him.
It is said that Acharya was under tremendous pressure since Orissa police was preparing to confiscate his properties, as he was evading his arrest for quite some time.
